How it works
-
We schedule your delivery
Tell us your move date and neighbourhood. We'll have bins at your door with plenty of time to pack.
-
We deliver the bins
Bins arrive stacked, clean, and ready to use. No assembly or tape needed. Need a dolly too? We rent those too.
-
You pack on your time
Pack a bin whenever you've got a few minutes, right up until moving day.
-
We pick up the empties
Once you're unpacked, we come grab the bins. Nothing to break down or haul to the recycling room.
The bin
Every rental is the same commercial-grade tote: tough enough to stack and ready to pack the moment it lands at your door.
-
102L capacity. 28.5" x 19.6" x 15.3" outside, 23.5" x 14.5" x 13" inside.
-
Tough polypropylene. Built to survive hundreds of moves, not one trip to the recycling room.
-
Snap-on lockable lid. Closes in a second and stays closed in the truck. No tape anywhere.
-
Built to stack. The lid takes at least 900 lbs of distributed weight, so packed stacks stay put.
-
Handles that hold. Rated for at least 680 lbs of pressure. Carry it full without thinking twice.
-
Made in Canada. With domestic and imported parts.
We started GreenStack because moving in this city is hard enough already.
We started this after living through a Toronto condo move ourselves. The elevator booking, the dolly rental, the midnight tape run. There had to be a less wasteful, less expensive way to do all of it.
You're one of roughly 250,000 people moving across the GTA this year, and odds are your move starts the same way everyone else's does, a trip to buy cardboard boxes you'll use exactly once. A GreenStack bin makes hundreds of trips before it's retired. No box run, no repeat purchases next time you move.
Cardboard recycles reasonably well, so we're not going to pretend otherwise. Reuse still wins, for reasons we get into in the FAQ below.
Every rental with us means dozens fewer boxes bought, used once, and thrown out. We're tracking that number as we grow, and we'll share it here.
No cardboard boxes
Reusable bins mean nothing to break down or throw out after your move.
Pack ahead of moving day
Bins show up early so everything's already packed when your elevator window opens.
No tape, no assembly
Bins show up ready to use. Add a dolly if you need one, we rent those too.

FAQ
How does bin rental work for a condo move?
We drop off your bins a few days before your move so you can pack at your own pace. When your building's freight elevator window opens, everything's already boxed and ready to go, you just wheel it down. We pick up the empty bins after you've unpacked.
How many bins do I need for a 1-bedroom?
Our Studio / 1BR package comes with 15 bins, which covers most one-bedroom moves: a kitchen, a closet or two, and the usual boxes of stuff you forgot you owned. Need a few more? Custom bins are $5.75 per bin per week.
Is this better for the environment than cardboard boxes?
Cardboard recycles reasonably well, but most moving boxes only get used once before that happens, and a lot never make it to the recycling stream at all once they've been taped, soaked, or torn. Our bins are built to be reused hundreds of times, so a move with us skips that cycle completely.
How far ahead should I book?
A week ahead is plenty for most moves. If you're moving during peak season (May through September), earlier is safer since that's when everyone else in the city is moving too.
What happens if a bin gets damaged?
Normal wear is fine, that's what they're built for. If a bin's badly damaged or doesn't come back, there's a $35 replacement charge, same as most bin rental companies in the city.
What if my move date changes?
Just let us know and we'll shift your delivery and pickup dates. No rebooking fee.
Does my building need a specific type of elevator or loading dock?
Most GTA condo towers work fine. If your building has unusual restrictions, like freight-only access or a narrow service elevator, mention it when you book and we'll plan delivery around it.
Can I get bins if I'm outside your current service area?
Maybe. Tell us where you are on the form. If we can reach you, we will.
